True North Service, Inc. provides T-Mobile partners with certification and testing of mobile content (primarily downloadable applications and games) that reside on the T-Mobile network. Your membership with T-Mobile ensures best-pricing from True North Service.
Our pricing model is based on a per build basis. Partners create applications and then submit builds specific to a
mobile device for that application.
We offer all partners consistent pricing for T-Mobile's program. Please contact us directly to receive specifics on current testing costs and the
program terms and conditions.
After you have gone through all the required steps on the T-Mobile development portal, feel free to fill out the Contact Form on our website. True North Service will reach out to you to provide a submission portal account.
If you are developing J2ME content, our submission portal houses T-Mobile's signing tool, so you can sign each individual build (jad/jar builds only) and test your app on T-Mobile's network. Each of T-Mobile's devices has
an original certificate which is placed into the .jad file of your build when you use the signing tool. This will provide access to restricted API's on the specific handset. After your development and internal testing are complete,
please be sure to remove the certificate from each individual .jad file before submitting to the portal. This is required because T-Mobile's delivery platform dynamically signs builds upon delivery; so it needs unsigned builds ingested.
If you are developing jad/cod builds for Blackberry devices, please organize your .zip file so that only multiple .cod's and a single .jad exist in the archive. There should be no internal folder hierarchy or multiple jad/cods in the .zip file. For each build, highlight all
.cod files, along with the .jad, and zip them up.
Once content is submitted, your builds are assigned to our team for testing. We will run your application on the handsets indicated during the submission process. A list of T-Mobile supported devices is available in our portal, so you can decide which builds to prepare, and submit
based on handset. Our test team will run over 100 test cases on your application indicating pass/fail on each item. The results of each test are available through our portal. To learn more about our portal, click here. As always, our Help/FAQ section of the submissions portal
